With the consent of the President and hereby disclosing this law to the public as follows:

As the Information and communication technology are advancing especially in the field of science, engineering and technology in all over the world an Creating opportunities for higher education and research in Bangladesh to keep pace with the world and fostering appropriate emphasis on modern knowledge, especially information and communication technology and to conduct reading and research activities including providing, innovating new technologies and aims to accelerate the establishment of "Digital Bangladesh" Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University in the Gazipur district, was necessary to be established.
